Hi everyone, and welcome to the site. My name is Yoram Roth. I live in Berlin and New York.
I’ve decided to keep this blog as a nice way of aggregating links and images that I share with my friends. Rather than spamming their inbox, they can find it here. Occasionally I will add some commentary on the world I see around me. Expect to find a good amount of interesting images, designs, and illustrations – few of them mine. My comments will be about Germany and the US, the two places I know best and care about most.
Why do I blog? I guess in some way it is an attempt to leave a thought-trail. Someday my three boys will look at me, and wonder if there ever was anything even remotely cool about me. “Did Papa have a clue?” The answer of course is a feeble stammered “yes”.
At this point I struggle with adulthood and an on-going geeky adolescence that has been rekindled in light of parenthood. Simply put: I get to play with Star Wars Lego, which wasn’t even around when I was young. Some people write books, but I lack the time and the discipline. On top of that, life keeps changing, and a view firmly held may adjust over time. This is a running diary of that process, although I expect this blog to expand.
I am a photographer. Please visit my site at www.roth-photo.com, and follow the connected blog.
